Contact forms

If you contact us through our website, we will respond using the email address you provided. This will NOT subscribe you to any newsletters, and we will NOT provide your details out to other third parties.

Cookies

We use cookies on some pages to track the success of our paid traffic from platforms like Facebook and Google.

This helps us understand if users are clicking through to our site and how they navigate it.

We do not collect any personal information through these cookies, nor do we share this pixel data with third parties.

Logging in

When you log in, we set up cookies to remember your login details and screen display preferences. Login cookies last for 2 days, and screen preference cookies last for 12 months. If you select "Remember Me", your login will persist for fortnight. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal information and just indicates the post ID of the blog post you just edited. It is removed after 1 day.

Embedded content from unrelated websites

Posts on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.) from other websites. Embedded content behaves in the same way as if you visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with the embedded content, including tracking your interaction if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Who we share your data with

We do not share your information with third parties. However, we use Facebook and/or Google pixels for tracking purposes as mentioned above.

This does not give us any personal information, but allows us to make better choices based on the general trend.

How long we retain your personal information

If you leave a comment (currently disabled), the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This allows us to recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users who register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile.

All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username).

Website administrators can also view and update this information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have a profile on this website, or have left comments (currently turned off), you may request to obtain an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us.

You can also request that we erase any private information we hold about you.

This excludes any information we are required to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
